Women's Tennis Falls at Campbell, 5-2, Wednesday Afternoon

BUIES CREEK, NC - The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team fell to Campbell Wednesday afternoon by a 5-2 score at the Nisbet Tennis Center.
Action began with doubles play, where the Lady Bulldogs dropped all three matches to give Campbell the doubles point.
In singles play, Gardner-Webb picked up a pair of victories. Erica White defeated Lisa Sutton (4-6, 6-2, 10-6) at the No. 1 position and Rita Gouveia defeated Cristina Garcia (7-5, 3-6, 10-5) at the No. 3 position.
Campbell took the remaining singles matches to seal the overall victory.
The Lady Bulldogs return to action Friday afternoon as they travel to Lynchburg, Va. to take on Liberty at 2:00 PM.
