
Gardner-Webb's Megan Reimer Named Big South Women's Soccer Attacking Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Gardner-Webb junior forward Megan Reimer has been selected as the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women's Soccer Attacking Player of the Week for games played the opening weekend of the 2010 season, as announced today by the League office.
Reimer scored both goals in the Runnin' Bulldogs' 2-0 win at Jacksonville State. She scored the opening goal in just the second minute of Friday's match, then added her second score six minutes later. The Hamilton, Ohio native tallied four shots, including three on goal, in the matchup with the Gamecocks.
Also nominated for the award were Marky Boyce from Charleston Southern, Hannah Brown from Coastal Carolina, Becca Hemby from High Point, Kate Baker from Presbyterian College and Sahar Aklaki from Radford.
The Runnin' Bulldogs return to action this Friday evening as they host East Tennessee State in the team's first home match of the 2010 season. The match is set to begin at 7:00 PM at Greene-Harbison Field.
