
GWU Women's Golf Defeats High Point in Dual Match Action

Ninety Six, S.C. - In their only dual match of the fall season, the Gardner-Webb women's golf team defeated Big South foe High Point University by a score of 310 to 320 at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety-Six, S.C. on Saturday.
Senior Courtney Finocchiaro and junior Meghan Allum paced the Runnin' Bulldogs with rounds of 76, +4, while fellow junior Sammy Vass carded a round of 78, +6, on Saturday.
Junior Lauren Smith posted a score of 80, +8, over 18-holes, while Hannah Hellyer turned in a round of 83, +11, for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
Rounding out the scoring for GWU in the dual match was Brianna Clemmons, who carded an 84, +12, while sophomore Pilar Morgan and senior Haleigh Petersen each finished the round with an 86, +14.
The Gardner-Webb women's golf team will take the winter off and tee-off their 2012 spring season on March 10-11th at the Spider spring Break Women's Invitational hosted by Richmond.
