GWU Men's Soccer Set to Hit the Road to Take On the Radford Highlanders Saturday Night

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb men's soccer team will look to make it six wins in a row on Saturday night, as the Runnin' Bulldogs will hit the road for one last time this season, traveling to Radford, Va. to do battle with the Radford Highlanders at 7 p.m. in Big South Conference play.
Gardner-Webb (8-6-2, 5-2 Big South) have run off five-straight wins, all of which have come in Big South Conference play, after dropping back-to-back conference matches to start their conference slate.
Over their five-match winning streak, GWU has outscored their opponents 10-3 and has scored first in every one of those contests, improving their record to 7-0-1 on the season when tallying the first goal of the match.
The Runnin' Bulldogs, whose last win over High Point was the program's first ever win over the Panthers in eight tries (1-5-2), will have to pick up the sixth win on the road where GWU is only 2-5 on the season.
However, the Runnin' Bulldogs are 5-1 thus far in the month of October this season and have won the last three meetings with the Radford Highlanders, including a 4-1 win last season at home on Senior Night.
The Highlanders are 8-7 overall and 3-3 in the Big South where they sit in a tie for fourth-place overall in the conference regular season standings with Presbyterian College.
Radford is coming off a 2-1 win over Virginia Tech at home on Tuesday night, giving the Highlanders three wins over their last four matches.
Radford is 4-1 at home this season and will be wrapping up its home slate on Saturday night versus the Runnin' Bulldogs.
The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start time.
