GWU Set For Home Bout With VMI Friday Night
November 01, 2011 | Swimming
Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb men's swimming team is preparing to host conference rival VMI on Friday, Nov. 4 in an early season CCSA dual meet.
GWU, coming off a loss to Queens College, will look to bounce back at their home pool against the Keydets. Gardner-Webb is undefeated against the conference counterparts from Lexington, Va., having one all four dual meets against the Keydets dating back to the 2007-2008 season.
While Gardner-Webb attempts to shake off back-to-back losses in dual meet competition, the Keydets are coming to Boiling Springs riding a wave of momentum after five consecutive wins to open the 2011-12 season. VMI is a perfect 5-0 thus far, including a win over CCSA member Howard on October 29.
The meet against the Keydets marks the Runnin' Bulldogs' first conference dual meet this season. Start time is scheduled for 6 pm at Bost Pool.
