Runnin' Bulldogs To Host "Red Out" For Lees McRae Game Wednesday Night

BOILING SPRINGS - Gardner-Webb will play its first game in front of a home crowd Wednesday night, hosting Lees McRae at 7:00 pm in Paul Porter Arena.
The game is billed as a "Red Out" event at the arena, with all Gardner-Webb fans encouraged to wear red to the game. The athletics department will issue 100 red shirts to the first 100 students in attendance Wednesday.
Gardner-Webb (1-1) is coming off a solid performance in Nashville that produced a 74-71 win over Lipscomb Sunday night. Jason Dawson (18 points), Stefon Johnson (11 points) and Max Landis (11 points) led the effort for the Runnin' Bulldogs, with GWU forcing 25 Bison turnovers and making more than 80 percent of its free throws for the second game in a row.
Lees McRae (0-2) has been busy in the early stages of the season, falling on the road in exhibitioh play at UNC Asheville, then dropping regular season games at Appalachian State and at home to Mars Hill. The Bobcats will be on the road for five of their next six games.
