November 16, 2011 | Wrestling
Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb wrestling team will split its squad up this Saturday, November 19th, as the Runnin' Bulldogs will have grapplers compete at both the Navy Classic in Annapolis, Md. and in the Pembroke Open in Pembroke, N.C.
Gardner-Webb (1-1, 0-1 SoCon) will step away from dual match action this weekend to compete in two open invitational meets. The Runnin' Bulldogs, who are coming off a 40-3 loss in their Southern Conference opener last Friday at Chattanooga, will look for a number of individuals to have strong showings on Saturday.
This is the second time this season that the Runnin' Bulldogs have split their squad to compete in two meets, as GWU sent wrestlers to both The Citadel Open and the Hokie Open back on November 6th.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will send eight wrestlers to the Navy Classic in Michael Slaughter, Davante Andujar, Ryan Medved, Alex Medved, Justin Guthrie, Erin O'Dell, Travis Porter and Justin Kozera.
GWU will also send nine wrestlers to the Pembroke Open in Jake Reinemund, Ray Farnsworth, Robbie Golde, Alex Hamm, Josh Burns, Scott Reilly, Aaron Rabin, Julian Ming and Matt Kowalski.
