
Three Runnin' Bulldogs Receive Awards at 2011 Big South Conference Women's Soccer Annual Awards Ceremony

Charleston, S.C. - Three Gardner-Webb players were honored for individual awards for their play during the 2011 regular season at Friday evening's Big South Women's Soccer postseason awards ceremony.
Freshman midfielder Megan Curan came away with two honors on the night, netting a spot on both the League's All-Freshman Team as well as Second Team All-Conference. The standout from Mooresville, N.C. leads the Runnin' Bulldogs with four assists entering the conference tournament and has also scored five goals during the regular season.
Joining Curan on the Second Team All-Conference is senior Dawn Rollyson, whose ten goals on the season lead the team entering postseason play. Rollyson, who has also dished out two assists this year, has scored a goal in each of the Runnin' Bulldogs six wins in 2011.
Also honored at the Big South Awards ceremony was senior Megan Tremblay, whose performance both on the pitch and in the classroom secured her a spot on the Big South's All-Academic Team. The senior from Jacksonville, Fla., who carries a 3.94 GPA as a Finance major, became a three-time All-Academic selection for the Big South on Friday evening.
The Runnin' Bulldogs take on the Campbell Camels Thursday in Daniel Island, S.C. in the first round of the Big South Conference Tournament. Scheduled start time is 4:30 pm.
