GWU's Kristopher Gray Named Big South Men's Golfer of the Week for the Second Straight Week

Charlotte, N.C. - For the second straight week and the third time this fall season, Gardner-Webb senior Kristopher Gray has been chosen as the Choice Hotels Big South Men's Golfer of the Week for events played Oct. 27-Nov. 2, it was announced today by the Conference office.
Gray claimed medalist honors at the 2011 Hummingbird Intercollegiate (par 71, 6,767 yards) with a 7-under par 135 (67-68). He led the event from start to finish and won by two strokes in leading the Runnin' Bulldogs to a third-place finish out of 17 teams. Gray totaled a tournament-high 25 pars to go along with nine birdies.
This is the third weekly conference honor that Gray has received this fall season, earning the award back on October 21st and October 7th.
Gardner-Webb will take the winter off and will return to the links for competition on February 27-28th, as the Runnin' Bulldogs will tee-off their 2012 spring season at the Charleston Shootout hosted by the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C.
