
Gardner-Webb Volleyball to Host 'Senior Night' Friday Night at 7 p.m.; Look to 'Pack the House' on Saturday Night at 5 p.m.

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb volleyball team will wrap up its 2011 regular season slate this weekend at home, as the Runnin' Bulldogs will host the Liberty Lady Flames on Friday night at 7 p.m. and the Radford Highlanders on Saturday night at 5 p.m. in Paul Porter Arena.
Gardner-Webb (9-18, 4-8 Big South) will look to snap a three-match losing streak this weekend, as the Runnin' Bulldogs will host "Senior Night" on Friday night - recognizing seniors Lauren Evans, Laura Wilcox and Evan Moffitt - prior to the 7 p.m. start.
Gardner-Webb, who is 5-2 at home and 4-6 overall in its last 10 matches, are 0-11 versus the Liberty Lady Flames since moving to NCAA Division I in 2000-01.
The Runnin' Bulldogs, who lost earlier this season 3-2 at Liberty back on October 1st, has played the Lady Flames to a fifth and decisive set twice in the two teams' last seven match ups.
Liberty, who is 16-11 overall and 11-1 in Big South play this season, sit in first-place overall and is just a half a game ahead of Winthrop in the conference regular season standings.
Liberty has won seven straight matches, all of which have come in conference play, with their last lost coming to VCU, 3-0, back on Oct. 11.
On Saturday night, the Runnin' Bulldogs look to "Pack the House" and encourage all fans to come support GWU in its final home match of the season, as the volleyball team will host the Radford Highlanders at 5 p.m.
Gardner-Webb, who is only 2-5 versus the Highlanders since 2000-01, last defeated Radford in 2008, when the Runnin' Bulldogs completed the regular season series sweep of the Highlanders.
Earlier this season, Radford defeated GWU 3-0 in Radford, Va. back on September 30th.
Radford is 13-14 overall and 7-5 in conference play heading into action this weekend. The Highlanders, who will face off with UNC Asheville on Friday night, have won two straight and five of their last seven.
Radford is only 3-7 on the road thus far this season.
