GWU Women's Tennis Falls to Coastal Carolina, 5-2, Saturday Afternoon

CONWAY, S.C. - In the squad's first Big South Conference match of the season, Gardner-Webb women's tennis team fell to Coastal Carolina by a 5-2 score Saturday afternoon.
Coastal Carolina (1-1) swept doubles play to earn the point and take the early advantage.
In singles action, GWU (2-1) earned wins at the No. 1 and No. 5 positions, as Erica White defeated Lexi Bolesky (2-6, 6-3, 10-7) and Ronia Hutterli defeated Diana Mortlock (6-4, 4-6, 10-6), yet the Chanticleers took the remaining singles matches to clinch the overall win.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will next hit the courts this upcoming Thursday afternoon as they host Erskine at 2:00 PM at the Webb Tennis Complex.
