Runnin' Bulldogs Down Erskine College, 6-1, Thursday Afternoon

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team swept through doubles play and won five singles matches to earn a 6-1 victory over Erskine College Thursday afternoon at the Webb Tennis Complex.
The Runnin' Bulldogs (3-1) breezed through doubles play, sweeping all three matches to earn the point.
GWU didn't let up in singles play, with wins coming at the No. 5 position by Ronia Hutterli and No. 6 position by Rita Gouveia to take an early 3-0 advantage.
The overall win was sealed at the No. 1 position as Erica White defeated Tessa Rheault (6-2, 6-0) in straight sets. Other wins for Gardner-Webb came at the No. 4 position by Jenny Lunde and No. 2 position by Ronia Hutterli
Gardner-Webb will return to action this Saturday afternoon, hosting Elon. The match is set for a noon start time at the Webb Tennis Complex.
