
Gardner-Webb Claims 6-3 Win Over Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Sunday Afternoon

TIFTON, Ga. - The Gardner-Webb men's tennis team took on Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College on Sunday afternoon, earning a 6-3 victory to improve to 6-8 for the season.
In doubles play, the duo of Julien Belair and Roman Piftor downed the team of Taylor Hardy and Tom Reynolds (8-6) at the No. 1 position and the duo of Adam Knutsson-Sundblad and Korhan Ates defeated Hernan Hatem and Danilo Faria (8-4) at the No. 2 position to have an advantage heading into singles action.
GWU took four of the six matches in singles play to claim the overall victory. At the No. 1 position, Julien Belair downed Martin Regan (6-2, 6-2) in straight sets. Adam Knutsson-Sundblad defeated Taylor Hardy (6-1, 6-1) at the No. 3 position. At the No. 4 position, Roman Piftor defeated Derrick Taylor (6-1, 6-1) and Andrew Carter defeated Danilo Faria (6-3, 6-3) at the No. 6 position.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will next be in action this Tuesday afternoon, as they host Campbell. The match is set for a 2:00 PM start time at the Webb Tennis Complex.
