GWU Wrestling to Hold 2011 Summer Wrestling Camp From June 13-17th
April 06, 2011 | Wrestling
Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb wrestling program will be holding its 2011 Summer Wrestling Camp on June 13-17th on the campus of Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C.
This five day and four night camp is designed for all wrestlers, regardless of age or experience level, as campers will be taught proper, fundamental wrestling skills in all three positions: neutral, top, and bottom.
The technique sessions will be drill oriented, allowing the campers to actually learn the skills and not just see them demonstrated. While there will be competitions among campers throughout the technique camp, the main focus and emphasis will be on the teaching, learning, and understanding of the fundamental skills.
Our objective is to make certain that each camper thoroughly understands all techniques presented, and through repetition and drilling, will be able to execute each technique properly. This camp is not designed to learn move after move after move, but to have each camper leave Gardner-Webb with an understanding of fundamental, sound technique that they will be able to take home with them.
