GWU Women's Soccer to Face Chattanooga in Road Matchup Sunday at 1 p.m.

Boiling Springs, N.C. - Gardner-Webb women's soccer will open its 2011 road schedule this Sunday when it travels to face UT-Chattanooga Aug. 28 at 1 p.m.
GWU (1-0) won its season and home opener Sunday, Aug. 21 in a 3-0 victory over visiting USC Upstate thanks to key goals by Senior Dawn Rollyson and Freshman Katie Soles as well as stellar defensive play, led by keeper Sophomore Erika Lenns.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will look to stay hot coming off of their opening game victory over Upstate and stay undefeated against Southern Conference member Chattanooga (1-1). Sunday will mark the third time in as many years that the Runnin' Bulldogs and the Mocs have met on the pitch.
The matchup has proved to be competitive the past two years, with Chattanooga winning a 1-0 match in 2009 and GWU earning a 1-0 win in 2010 in Boiling Springs, N.C. This year proves to be no different, as Sunday's game marks Chattanooga's second home game of the young 2011 season with both teams hungry for a win.
