Gardner-Webb Women's Soccer on the Road this Weekend

Boiling Springs, N.C. - GWU's women's soccer team will continue its current three game road stretch when it travels to the state of Kentucky to take on Morehead State on Friday and Eastern Kentucky on Sunday.
The Runnin' Bulldogs are coming off of a 3-3 tie against Southern Conference member Chattanooga, a game in which GWU freshman Megan Curan scored two goals and earned Big South Attacking Player of the Week honors. Gardner-Webb (1-0-1) is looking to maintain momentum this weekend away from home and gain key road victories to bolster its season record.
GWU is no stranger to the Eagles of Morehead State, having faced them last year as part of the Border Classic held in Boiling Springs, N.C. Morehead State (1-2-1) prevailed in last year's matchup 2-0.
Gardner-Webb will face an unfamiliar opponent when it faces Ohio Valley Conference member Eastern Kentucky (1-3-1), a team that has already faced the likes of Indiana, Louisville, and Purdue this season.
GWU will follow this weekend's road trip with a home stand of its own. Gardner-Webb will host Jacksonville State Friday, Sep. 9 back on the familiar turf of Greene-Harbison Field.
