GWU Goalkeeper Scott Krotee Tabbed Big South Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Charlotte, N.C. - Gardner-Webb goalkeeper Scott Krotee garnered Big South Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played Oct. 1-7, the League announced today.
Krotee, a redshirt senior from West Lawn, Pa., notched 11 saves to help the Runnin' Bulldogs to a 2-0 record last week. Against Appalachian State on October 2nd, Krotee turned away nine Mountaineer attacks in 106 minutes in goal. Three days later against VMI, he posted 90 minutes of shutout soccer with a pair of saves. The honor is his first Big South Defensive Player of the Week plaudit this season.
GWU went 2-0 last week with home wins over Appalachian State and VMI.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will return to the pitch this afternoon, as GWU will hit the road to take on the UNC Asheville Bulldogs at 4 p.m. in Asheville, N.C.
