GWU's Allum Named the Big South Women's Golfer of the Week

Charlotte, N.C. - Gardner-Webb senior Meghan Allum has been selected as the Choice Hotels Big South Women's Golfer of the Week for events played Oct. 4-10, it was announced today by the Conference office.
Allum posted her best finish of the fall season with a fourth-place showing at the Winthrop Intercollegiate (par 72, 5,979 yards). She paced the Runnin' Bulldogs with a 5-over par 149 (74-75) to lead the squad to a second-place team finish. Allum's 74 in the first round tied for the tournament low and helped her record her third top-10 finish of the season so far this fall.
The weekly conference award is the Allum's second of her career.
The Gardner-Webb women's golf team will return to the links for competition on Saturday, October 20th, as the lady golfers will compete in a head-to-head dual match with High Point at The Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C.
