A number of players set career marks in the season opener, as junior Tabby Koerner recorded a career-high eight rebounds and four assists, while sophomore Jessica Heilig poured in a career-high 12 points in the win.

In her very first intercollegiate game, freshman Candace Brown recorded a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds in the season opening win over Lipscomb on 11/9.
GWU PICKED NINTH IN BIG SOUTH PRESEASON POLL
The Gardner-Webb women's basketball team was picked to finish ninth in this year's Big South Women's Basketball Preseason Poll voted on by both coaches and media members. The Runnin' Bulldogs garnered a total of 62 points, which included one fourth-place vote and two sixth-place votes.
GWU WILL REMAIN AT HOME TO HOST MONTREAT ON NOV. 14
The Runnin' Bulldogs will remain at home to host Montreat College on Wednesday night, November 14th, at 8 p.m. as the second game of a doubleheader with the men's basketball team.
