
GWU Wrestling to Face-Off with Belmont Abbey on Monday Night at 7 p.m.

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb wrestling team will host Belmont Abbey in dual match action on Monday night, November 19th, at 7 p.m. in Paul Porter Arena on the campus of Gardner-Webb University.
The Runnin' Bulldog grapplers are 1-1 thus far this season in dual match competition having split with No. 16 Virginia and George Mason at the Movember Duals on November 10th in Boiling Springs, N.C.
Gardner-Webb posted a total of eight wins over the two dual matches to split with No. 16 Virginia (L, 3-36) and George Mason (24-12) at the Movember Duals. GWU's Travis Porter was the lone victor in the bout versus Virginia, posting a 6-0 win at the heavyweight position, while in the win over George Mason, GWU took wins at seven of the 10 weight classes in the victory.
Belmont Abbey is 2-2 thus far this season in dual match action, having posted wins over Spartanburg Methodist and St. Andrews. However, the Crusaders' two losses have come against Davidson and Appalachian State, both of which are Southern Conference members along with Gardner-Webb.
