
GWU Grapplers to Compete at Hoosier Duals on Saturday, December 1st

Boiling Springs, N.C. - After an 11-day break from competition, the Gardner-Webb wrestling team will return to the mat this weekend to compete at the Hoosier Duals hosted by Indiana University on Saturday, December 1st, in Bloomington, Indiana.
Gardner-Webb will compete against Bucknell (9 a.m.), Southern Illinois - Edwardsville (11 a.m.) and Indiana (1 p.m.) in the quad meet.
The Runnin' Bulldog grapplers are 2-1 thus far this season in dual match action, as GWU is coming off a 35-8 blowout win over Belmont Abbey back on November 19th in Paul Porter Arena.
In the win, GWU had three wrestlers earn falls and totaled eight wins out of the 10 bouts.
Bucknell is coming off a sixth-place finish at the Navy Classic on Saturday, November 17th, in which the Bison totaled 45.5 points overall.
Bucknell freshman Paul Petrov advanced to the championship bout of the 133-pound bracket, while Corey Lear (165) and Tyler Lyster (197) lost in the semifinals, but battled back to earn third-place finishes to highlight the season-opening Navy Classic for the Bucknell wrestling team.
SIUE is 1-2 in dual match action on the year and is coming off a 21-20 loss to Cornell at the Iowa Duals on November 24th.
Patrick Myers (133) and Jake Residori (165) each lead the Cougars with six wins apiece on the year, while David Devine (285) has four wins on the season.
Indiana is 2-2 overall in dual match action and is coming off a fifth-place finish at the Keystone Classic back on November 18th.
The Hoosiers are led by Quin Murphy (133) and Ryan LeBlanc (165), who have posted 13 wins apiece on the season. Adam Chalfant (285) and Taylor Walsh (157) each have 12 wins apiece on the year as well.
