SERIES VS. COASTAL CAROLINA
Gardner-Webb leads the overall series between the two teams at 6-3. However, after winning six straight meetings from 2009 to 2011, the Runnin' Bulldogs fell in the two teams' most recent match up last season in February, 54-40, in Conway, S.C.
GWU IN BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE OPENERS
GWU has posted a record of 2-2 in Big South Conference openers since joining the League in 2008-09. The Runnin' Bulldogs are 2-1 in Big South openers in Paul Porter Arena with the lone loss coming last year versus Charleston Southern.
GWU is 5-3 all-time in conference openers under head coach Rick Reeves.
HOME SWEET HOME IN PAUL PORTER ARENA
GWU is a perfect 4-0 at home this season in 2012-13. Gardner-Webb is 74-37 at home in Paul Porter Arena since head coach Rick Reeves came to Boiling Springs, N.C. in 2004-05.
MATCHING LAST YEAR'S MARK
With the Runnin' Bulldogs 76-41 home win over Asbury on November 24th, Gardner-Webb earned its fourth win of the season which matched its win total of all of 2011-12.
GWU WILL REMAIN AT HOME TO HOST LONGWOOD ON DECEMBER 9TH
The Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs will remain at home to host the Longwood Lancers on Sunday, December 9th, at 3 p.m. The contest will not count as a Big South Conference game, as the two teams' had this game on the schedule prior to Longwood joining the Big South Conference this summer.
