SERIES VS. KENNESAW STATE
The Runnin' Bulldogs and the Lady Owls have played to an even 4-4 overall record since 2000-01 when GWU moved to the NCAA Division I level. Despite winning three straight over Kennesaw State from 2005 to 2007, all of which came in Atlantic Sun Conference play, the Lady Owls have won three out of the last four meetings between the two teams on the hardwood. GWU is also only 2-3 overall versus the Lady Owls in Kennesaw, Ga.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN
GWU will hit the road for only the fourth time this season when the Runnin' Bulldogs take on Kennesaw State on December 28th. GWU is 1-2 on the road this season having won its last road contest 62-57 at Wofford on December 19th.
HOT HAND FROM DOWNTOWN
The Runnin' Bulldogs have had a hot hand from behind the three-point arc over the last three games shooting 24-of-49 for a percentage of 49 percent overall. GWU has made at least five three-pointers in each of its last four contests and is averaging 6.0 made three pointers over the span.
D-FENSE ! D-FENSE ! D-FENSE !
GWU is ranked first among the Big South Conference schools in scoring defense having allowed only 53.4 points per game this season. GWU is also first in the Big South in field goal percentage defense, holding its opponents to 31.6 percent shooting overall and is second in both blocked shots per game (4.9) and steals per game (11.5).
BENCH PRODUCTION
In all six of GWU's wins this season, the Runnin' Bulldogs' bench has outscored or equaled the scoring of its opponent's bench. In fact, GWU is 6-3 when its bench scoring matches or exceeds its opponent's bench scoring for the game.
GWU JUMPS BACK INTO BIG SOUTH PLAY ON JANUARY 3RD
The Runnin' Bulldogs will jump into Big South Conference play on January 3rd, as GWU will take on the Longwood Lancers at 7 p.m. in Farmville, Va. GWU suffered a 70-62 home loss to Longwood back on December 9th in a game that was considered a non-conference match up.
