GWU's Carson Sears Named Big South Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Charlotte, N.C. - Gardner-Webb's Carson Sears has been tabbed the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Field Athlete of the week, the League announced today.
Sears, a sophomore from Suwannee, Ga., posted a school-record throw of 61.97 meters in the hammer throw at the Coastal Carolina Invitational over the weekend. He finished second overall in the event.
Sears leads GWU Track & Field to compete at the 49er Invitational (Charlotte, N.C.) this weekend as the 2012 Outdoor Season hits full swing.
