GWU Senior Courtney Finocchiaro Named to Big South Women's Golf All-Academic Team

Ninety Six, S.C. - Gardner-Webb senior golfer Courtney Finocchiaro was named to the 2012 Big South Women's Golf All-Academic Team the League announced Monday night at the 2012 Big South Women's Golf Championship Awards Banquet in Ninety Six, S.C.
Finocchiaro, the lone senior on the GWU Women's Golf Team, was one of two Big South students to be chosen as a recipient of the Big South Conference's Sunbelt Rentals Scholarship earlier this year. Finocchiaro, who has played in 10 tournaments this year heading into the conference championship event this week, finished tied for third at the Low Country Intercollegiate with two rounds of 76 and a combined two-day score of 152, +. She was the top GWU golfer at both the CSU Wendy's Invitational, where she shot a 151, +7, and recorded a12th-place finish, and at the GWU vs. HPU Dual Match, when she shot a low round 76 to lead the field.
Finocchiaro, who has a double major in both Communications, with a concentration in Public Relations, and Religious Studies, has posted an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.9908 during her time at Gardner-Webb University.
