Hurley Finishes 7th in the Heptathlon at Lynchburg Open Multi-Event

Lynchburg, Va. - Sophomore Kristen Hurley set personal bests in the 200 m Dash, Javelin Throw, and 800 m Run en route to a 7th place finish in the Heptathlon at the Lynchburg Open Multi-Event Monday - Tuesday.
Hurley (Columbia, Conn.), who moved up from 8th to 7th place on Day 2, set personal bests of 26.47 in the 200 m Dash, 32.02 m in the Javelin Throw, and 2:28.58 in the 800 m Run. The sophomore's performance in the 200 m Dash as well as the Long Jump each ranked 6th best in the event.
Gardner-Webb track & field is scheduled to continue their 2012 Outdoor season May 11-12 at the Clemson Invitational.
