Beaverton, Ore. - Assistant track & field coach Andy Fryman
rose up the standings at Thursday's Olympic Trials, reaching 6th
place in the Men's Hammer Throw competition with a throw of 72.63
m.
The former University of Kentucky standout finished just .92
meters out of 4th place, as well as a mere 2.34 m behind 1st place
finisher Kibwe Johnson. His throw of 72.63 m bettered his
performance at 2011 USA National Outdoor Track & Field
Championships where he threw an 8th best distance of 70.90 m.
The hard-working assistant coach of the Runnin' Bulldogs' track
& field squad competed among the nation's best at the Nike
World Headquarters, participating among upwards of 1,000 of the
country's elite at 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.
