GWU's Carson Sears Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Designation

In order to qualify, eligible student-athletes must have met both academic and athletic criteria. Sears (Suwanee, Ga.) qualified by maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above and participating in the NCAA Division I Championships.
The honor adds to an impressive sophomore campaign which saw Sears set school records in numerous events, including the hammer throw in which he also won his first career conference championship at 2012 Big South Outdoor Championships, in addition to participating in his first-ever NCAA Championships.
