Gardner-Webb Women's Soccer Match vs. South Carolina State Cancelled by Lightning

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The home opener for the Runnin' Bulldogs' women's soccer team has been cancelled due to lightning and rain in the Boiling Springs area.
It is yet to be determined whether or not the match will be made up at a later date. The match between Gardner-Webb and South Carolina State was halted when lightning was detected in the area surrounding Greene-Harbison Stadium. Delay time reached one hour and thirty minutes before the match was called.
The weather interrupted a scoreless match between the Runnin' Bulldogs and the visiting Bulldogs, as both teams were working to get on the board when the match was called.
