CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - Gardner-Webb's Mike McClay has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the League announced today.

McClay, a junior from Lawrenceville, Ga., took first-place at the Charlotte Duals with a time of 15:52 on the 5K course over the weekend. The field included runners from Wofford, Charlotte and Limestone.

Gardner-Webb's men's and women's cross country teams will look for more success this weekend at the Big South Conference Preview in Rock Hill, S.C.
