GWU's Blake Maum Tabbed Big South Men's Golf Freshman of the Week

Charlotte, N.C. - Gardner-Webb's Blake Maum was named the Big South Men's Golf Freshman of the Week for events played October 3-9th, it was announced by the League office today.
Maum carded his lowest round as an intercollegiate player last Saturday as he posted a 4-under 68 to win the Big South Preview. It was his first career collegiate victory and his performance helped Gardner-Webb to a first-place finish in the event.
The weekly conference award was the first in Maum's career.
The Gardner-Webb men's golf team will return to action next week, as the Runnin' Bulldogs will take part in the Donald Ross Intercollegiate hosted by Appalachian State at the Mimosa Hills Country Club in Morganton, N.C. on October 14-15th.
