
Gardner-Webb's Clarke Leads the Nation in Goals and Goals Per Game

Indianapolis, Ind. - Gardner-Webb junior forward and this week's Choice Hotels Big South Men's Soccer Player of the Week Denzel Clarke leads all NCAA Division I men's soccer student-athletes in two statistical categories - total goals and goals per game on the season.
In the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer national statistics released on Monday, October 21st, GWU's Clarke is tied for first-place among all NCAA Division I men's soccer players in total goals with 12 on the season and a goals per game average of 0.92 on the year.
Clarke also ranks fifth in the nation in points per game (1.85) and sixth in the nation in total points (24).
The junior, who now holds the GWU Division I men's soccer single season goals record with 12 and counting this season, ranks first in the Big South Conference in all four of the previous statistical categories - total goals, goals per game, points per game and total points.
