Gardner-Webb Women's Basketball Picked Fifth in 2013-14 Big South Preseason Poll

Charlotte, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb women's basketball team was picked to finish fifth overall in this year's Big South Conference Women's Basketball Preseason Poll, it was announced by the League office at the 2013-14 Big South Conference Basketball Media Day on Thursday, October 24th, in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The Runnin' Bulldogs, who picked up one first-place vote, earned a total of 144 points overall.
GWU picked up one first-place vote, two third-place votes, five fourth-place votes and five fifth-place votes in the poll.
Defending 2012-13 Conference Tournament and Regular Season Champions Liberty recorded 261 points to be picked the 2013-14 preseason favorite, while Winthrop (256 points), Campbell (206 points) and High Point (178 points) rounded out the top-four teams in the preseason poll.
Gardner-Webb returns 11 letter award winners from last season, including its top-eight scorers and top-four rebounders, highlighted by seniors Jasmine Dale, Catrina Green and Tabby Koerner, as well as juniors Jessica Heilig, Mayhana Dunovant and Chariah Harris.
