Gardner-Webb's Ali Al-Gashamy Named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week

Boiling Springs, N.C. - Gardner-Webb midfielder Ali Al-Gashamy was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week on Monday, October 28th, for the week ending on October 27th.
Al-Gashamy and his Runnin' Bulldog teammates had a productive week with a 5-0 win over UNC Asheville and a 2-0 win over Campbell in Big South Conference play. Al-Gashamy produced a goal and two assists in the contest with UNC Asheville. He also added the insurance goal in Gardner-Webb's win over the Fighting Camels of Campbell.
Al-Gashamy, who leads both the team and the Big South Conference with six assists on the season, had a part in four of GWU's seven goals last week and helped extend the Runnin' Bulldogs' current winning streak to four matches in a row.
The national weekly honor is the first for the sophomore in his young GWU career.
