Gamble Ranked at 174 Pounds in the Gregg Henry's/Wrestling Report D-I Pre-Season National Rankings

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The preseason accolades continue to come in for Gardner-Webb sophomore wrestler Hunter Gamble as he is ranked in the Gregg Henry's/Wrestling Report D-I 2013-14 NCAA Pre-Season National Rankings at 174 pounds, it was announced on Saturday, October 5th.
Gamble, who is entering is second year on the mat at GWU this season, is ranked 32nd overall at the 174 pound weight class in the pre-season rankings.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Gamble was ranked 18th overall at 174 pounds in the WIN's 2013-14 Preseason Individual Rankings, which was released on Monday, September 30th.
Last season as a freshman, Gamble posted an overall record of 24-15 and was an automatic National Qualifier having won the Southern Conference Championship at 174 pounds.
The McDonough, Ga. native, who became GWU's first-ever Southern Conference Champion, went on to post an overall record of 1-2 at the 2013 NCAA Division I National Championships as he earned a 5-3 decision over the No. 9 seeded Nathaniel Brown of Lehigh in the first round of the championship bracket.
With that win, Gamble became only the third GWU wrestler in the Runnin' Bulldogs' Division I history, joining Eddie McCray (2007) and Josh Pniewski (2006), to record a win in the Championship Bracket at the NCAA National Championships.
