November 03, 2013 | Football
Cook (Cross Hill, S.C. / Clinton HS / Garden City CC) hauled in eight passes for a career-high 179 yards in Gardner-Webb's 51-14 romp over Warner (Fla.) University, catching scoring tosses of 25 and 52 yards. He had five of his catches and 111 yards by intermission.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound standout caught a nicely thrown, 25-yard touchdown from Chandler Browning early in the second quarter, and closed out the first-half scoring with a 52-yard strike from Lucas Beatty - outrunning the secondary after the catch to paydirt.
