Gardner-Webb's Kurniawan Named Choice Hotels Big South Men's Golfer of the Week

Kurniawan was selected Choice Hotels Big South Conference Men's
Golfer of the Week on Thursday after a strong effort at the
Hummingbird Intercollegiate.
Kurniawan (Jakarta, Indonesia) carded rounds of 66 and 69 over the final two days to finish second with a 3-under 210 for the event (76-66-69). He rose from 29th position after the first round - carding a career-low 66 on the second day. That hot effort tied a Big South Conference season-low for the fall season. Kurniawan posted 10 birdies over his final two rounds of play.
The sophomore had a pair of top-10 finishes during fall action, and carded seven rounds of 71 or better. He finished with a fall stroke average of 73.27.
The Hummingbird event was the final of the fall season for Gardner-Webb.
