Gardner-Webb's Dodson Named Big South Women's Golf Freshman of the Week

- Gardner-Webb's Taylor Dodson was named Big South Conference
Women's Golf Freshman of the Week Thursday, as selected by the
league office.
Dodson (Aiken, S.C. / South Aiken HS) paced the Runnin' Bulldogs with a second-place finish at the 2013 Winthrop Intercollegiate - finishing in a four-way tie for runner up honors with a score of 153. Her final round of 74 sparked her third top-5 finish of the fall season.
Dodson finished the fall season with a 76.71 stroke average. Her second-place finish was the highest of the season. Her low round of the fall came at the UNCG Starmount Fall Classic, when she posted a 70 on the second day of play. Dodson also shot rounds of 74 and 72 to take fourth in that event.
The Winthrop tournament was the final fall event for Gardner-Webb.
