GWU Men's Golf Set to Compete at the 2013 General Hackler Championship This Week

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb men's golf team will return to the links for competition this week, as the Runnin' Bulldogs will take part in the 2013 General Hackler Championship hosted by Coastal Carolina on March 11-12th at the TPC of Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet, S.C.
The two-day tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,950-yards TPC of Myrtle Beach golf course in Murrells Inlet, S.C.
Gardner-Webb, who is carded a combined team score of 608, +32, in each of its first two spring tournaments so far this season, is coming off a third-place finish at the Davidson College Invitational last week in which the Runnin' Bulldogs finished in a tie with both Radford and Elon over the two-day event.
Junior Steven Jones posted his best finish of the season with a third-place finish and a combined score of 147, +3, while senior Daniel Kim also earned a top-10 finish, placing in a tie for sixth overall with his two-round score of 150, +6.
Fellow golfers Matt Yelverton, Elki Kow and Daley Byles will round out the competitors for the Runnin' Bulldogs, as this same five-man lineup competed at the Davidson College Invitational last week.
