
Men's Golf to Compete at the Davidson College Invitational on March 4-5th

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb men's golf team will return to the links for competition this Monday and Tuesday, as the Runnin' Bulldogs will compete at the Davidson College Invitational hosted by Davidson College at the River Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C.
The par-72, 7,2008-yard course at the River Run Country Club will host a field of 11 different schools in Campbell, Elon, Guilford College, Holy Cross, James Madison, Longwood, Marshall, Radford and Wofford, as well as Gardner-Webb and the host Davidson College.
The men's golf team is coming off a ninth-place team finish at the Forest Hills Collegiate hosted by Augusta State University at the par-72, 7,084-yards Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. last Saturday, February 23rd.
For the seventh straight tournament this season, including all six of the Runnin' Bulldogs' fall events in 2012, senior Daniel Kim has been the top GWU performer as he carded rounds of 71 and 76 to finish in a tie at 14th-place with a combined score of 147, +3.
Also scheduled to compete for the Gardner-Webb men's golf team at the Davidson College Invitational is sophomore Matt Yelverton, junior Steven Jones, freshman Elki Kow and redshirt-junior Daley Byles.
All five competitors, including Kim, competed in GWU's spring opener two weeks ago back on February 24th at the Forest Hills Collegiate.
