
Runnin' Bulldogs Ready to Compete at The Coca-Cola Invitational on Monday and Tuesday

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb men's golf team will have one final tune up before the 2013 Big South Conference Men's Golf Championship in two weeks, as the Runnin' Bulldogs will compete at The Coca-Cola Invitational next week at The Country Club of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, S.C.
The annual event, which is hosted by Wofford College, will consist of two days of play on April 15th & 6th.
Gardner-Webb is coming off a first-place tournament win at the 2013 Keith Hills Invitational on April 1st & 2nd, in which the Runnin' Bulldogs as a team turned in rounds of 288, 286 and 284 to post a team low score of 858, +6.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will send a similar lineup to the Coca-Cola Invitational this week, as Matt Yelverton, Daniel Kim, Steven Jones, Daley Byles and Clement Kurniawan will all tee-off for GWU.
Yelverton, who finished in a tie for second-place overall, and Kim, who finished in a tie for fifth-place, will lead the GWU squad into play at the Coca-Cola Invitational. Yelverton turned in a score of 212, -1 under par, at the Keith Hills Invitational, while Kim, who recorded a combined score of 215,+2, last time out, has been one of the top-two GWU performers in each of the 10 tournaments in which the Runnin' Bulldogs have competed in this season.
Both Jones and Byles are coming off top-15 finishes at the Keith Hills Invitational and have competed for the Runnin' Bulldogs in all four spring tournaments so far this season, while Kurniawan returns to the GWU lineup after shooting a combined three-round score of 220, +7, to finish in a tie for 14th-place overall as an individual participant at the Keith Hills Invitational two weeks ago in Buies Creek, N.C.
Last year, the Runnin' Bulldogs carded team rounds of 285, 290 and 296 to finish in a tie at sixth-place overall with a combined three-round team score of 871, +7.
