Rundio Chosen For 2013 CPL All-Star Game

Rundio (Gastonia, N.C. / North Gaston HS) is playing this summer for the Gastonia Grizzlies. The rising junior leads the team in hits (23) and is second in stolen bases (6-for-7). He has made 21 starts and is batting a solid .291 with a pair of doubles and four RBI and a .356 on base percentage.
Rundio also took the mound in an early season game for the Grizzlies, hurling 1.2 scoreless frames with three strikeouts.
The 2013 CPL All-Star Game will be played at War Memorial Stadium in Hampton, Va.
This past season with the Runnin' Bulldogs, Rundio batted a solid .263 with 54 hits, eight doubles, four home runs and 28 RBI in 53 starts. He ranked second on the team with 15 stolen bases and was hit by a pitch eight times - which also ranked second on the team.
He helped Gardner-Webb to a 29-27-1 record, which included another win in the Big South Conference Tournament.
