Gardner-Webb Women's Basketball Selected Sixth in the 2014-15 Big South Preseason Poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb University women's basketball team has been selected sixth in the 2014-15 Big South Conference women's basketball preseason pool, announced the league office at the annual Big South Conference basketball media day on Monday, October 27 at the Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites Charlotte Uptown hotel.
The Runnin' Bulldogs totaled 56 points and received two fifth-place votes, three sixth-place votes, one seventh-place vote, four eighth-place votes, and one ninth-place vote.
Liberty was tabbed as the preseason favorite, receiving five first-place votes for a total of 113 points. High Point, Winthrop, and Campbell rounded-out the top-five teams in the preseason poll.
Gardner-Webb returns three starters and seven letter-winners from last season, where the Runnin' Bulldogs went 16-14 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Big South Conference Tournament.
