Gardner-Webb Receives Seventh Seed In Upcoming Big South Tournament, Will Face Coastal Carolina Thursday

CHARLOTTE --- The Big South Conference announced the bracket and seedings for the upcoming Big South Conference Tournament late Saturday, and the Gardner-Webb volleyball team has been named as the seventh seed after posting a 5-9 record in league play this season.
The tournament kicks off with the quarterfinal round on Thursday, November 20 at the HTC Center in Conway, S.C. on the Coastal Carolina campus.
Radford posted a 12-2 record in Big South play this season to capture the 2014 regular season championship and earn the No. 1 seed. The Highlanders will face eighth-seeded Campbell at 12:00 pm. Host Coastal Carolina was awarded the second seed with an 11-3 mark and will face the seventh-seeded Runnin' Bulldogs in the final match of the day at 7:30 p.m.
Liberty is the third seed with a 10-4 mark and will face sixth-seeded High Point at 5:00 p.m. Fourth-seeded Winthrop finished with a 9-5 record in league play and will face fifth-seeded Presbyterian at 2:30 p.m.
The semifinal round will take place on Friday, November 21 at 4:30 and 7:00 p.m., with the championship match being played on ESPN3 at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 23. The Big South Tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Volleyball Tournament.

Match 1: No. 1 Radford vs. No. 8 Campbell – 12:00 p.m.
Match 2: No. 4 Winthrop vs. No. 5 Presbyterian – 2:30 p.m.
Match 3: No. 3 Liberty vs. No. 6 High Point – 5:00 p.m.
Match 4: No. 2 Coastal Carolina vs. No. 7 Gardner-Webb – 7:30 p.m.
Semifinals, Friday, Nov. 21
Match 5: Winner Match 1 vs. Winner Match 2 – 4:30 p.m.
Match 6: Winner Match 3 vs. Winner Match 4 – 7:00 p.m.
Championship, Sunday, Nov. 23
