Women's Soccer Receives 2013-14 NSCAA Team Academic Award

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb women's soccer team was honored Thursday when the recipients of the 2013-14 Team Academic Award was released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
To qualify for the team award, collegiate women's soccer programs must maintain a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Runnin Bulldogs posted a team GPA of 3.16.
"One of the soccer programs core values is that we strive for excellence in all that we do and academics are a big part of that. It isn't easy to be a student-athlete, but the ladies on this team epitomize student-athlete and they take a great deal of pride in what they do on and off the field and I am very proud of them for their accomplishments," commented Gardner-Webb head coach Mike Varga.
