S.C. - Redshirt freshman Julia
Henderson fired a two-day score of 149 to capture medalist
honors, and freshman Taylor
Dodson finished one stroke back as Gardner-Webb finished in
team scoring at the 2014 Country Club of Spartanburg Spring
Invitational.
Henderson
(New Glasgow, Nova Scotia) shot a 75 on Tuesday after a 74 in
Monday's opening round to edge Dodson (74-76-150) and High Point's
Sarah Bae (73-77-150). Freshman Sarah
Bertram (77-75-152) finished sixth to round out the top-10
finishers for the Runnin' Bulldogs - capping a strong start in the
first event of the spring season.
High
Point (302-311-613) edged Gardner-Webb (300-315-615) by two strokes
in the team scoring, also placing three individuals in the top-10.
Host school Wofford (305-312-617) finished third, followed by
Winthrop (312-316-628), Presbyterian (328-320-648) and The Citadel
(335-329-664).
Gardner-Webb
will enjoy some time off before getting back to action at the 2014
Pinehurst Challenge on March 16-17 in Pinehurst, N.C.
