
Gardner-Webb Women Take Sixth At Pinehurst Challenge

Battliing difficult weather conditions, the Runnin' Bulldogs finished four strokes behind Middle Tennessee State and two strokes in front of Appalachian State in the final team standings.
Freshman Taylor Dodson finished in a tie for ninth, carding a final round of 74 to pace Gardner-Webb individually.
Julia Henderson (76-77-153) tied for 15th, Sarah Bertram (81-77-158) tied for 33rd, Pilar Morgan (78-85-163) finished in 58th and Mary Katherine Donovan (88-84-172) took 74th for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
The average individual round for the event was 79.59. Host College of Charleston captured the team title with a two-round score of 583 (294-289). The tournament was moved up one day due to wet weather.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will travel to Hilton Head, S.C., next week to play in the Low Country Intercollegiate - hosted by Wofford College. Rounds are scheduled for March 23 and March 24 at Moss Creek Country Club.
