Zverkov and Ernest Alberch teamed up to win their doubles match by an 8-4 score, but the Bears captured the doubles point with wins of 8-4 and 8-3 in the other matches.
Zverkov defeated Gregory Garcia at No. 2 singles, taking a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory.
Gardner-Webb dropped to 5-9 on the season with the loss. Brown improved to 5-4.
