Charlotte, N.C. (BigSouthSports.com) - Fresh off winning five of their last six regular season matches, Gardner-Webb's men's tennis team received the #7 seed for the 2014 Big South Men's Tennis Championship Tournament, held April 15-18 at the Webb Tennis Complex in Boiling Springs, N.c.

GWU (12-11, 4-4 Big South) finished as one of three teams with an even Conference record. Based on the head-to-head record tiebreak procedures, Radford (4-4 Big South) received the #5 seed, Coastal Carolina (4-4 Big South) received the #6 seed, and Gardner-Webb received the #7 seed.

Presbyterian College finished the season with a 7-1 Big South record to claim its first-ever Big South Men's Tennis Regular-Season Championship, it was determined today as the Conference season concluded this afternoon.

Winthrop earned the #2 seed with a 6-2 Conference mark. Liberty and Campbell finished Big South play with identical 5-3 records. In the tiebreaker procedure, the Flames claimed the #3 spot and the Camels took the #4 seed. UNC Asheville picked up the #8 seed as it finished with a 1-7 League record, while Longwood rounds out the seeding with its 0-8 record against Conference opponents.

The Runnin' Bulldogs draw the Winthrop Eagles in Quarterfinal action in the #2 vs. #7 matchup. Gardner-Webb won a 4-3 thriller at the Webb Tennis Complex versus Winthrop on April 4 in the team's regular season meeting.

The 2014 Big South Men's Tennis Championship begins Tuesday, April 15 with one match, and concludes with the Championship contest on Friday, April 18. The Big South's tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship. The Big South Conference Championship schedule is as follows:
