MANHEIM, Pa. --- Gardner-Webb is squaring off against second-seeded Minnesota on Tuesday in the Battle Rounds of the National Wrestling Coaches Association Best of Brand "Pure Entertainment" competition, announced head coach Daniel Elliott.
The Best of Brand "Pure Entertainment" award category features program's best "non-wrestling" related video which promote their brand in a unique manner. These videos are clever and often humorous as they are used to highlight a program beyond performance and statistics to keep fans engaged. The winner is chosen based on two key elements: a panel of judges assessing video performance and quality in accordance to the award, as well as a social media campaign which concludes with an online voting component. 1
The Runnin' Bulldogs are one of nine finalists in this year's competition, drawing the seventh seed and a matchup with second-seeded Minnesota. The program that receives the most votes before 9:00 pm this evening will advance to tomorrow's semifinal round against the winner of Stony Brook and Maryland.
Fans can vote once every hour up until the 9:00 pm deadline per device (computer, cell phone, tablet, etc.) via the link below. Be sure to check out Gardner-Webb's video submission here.
